Giles Trendle is an international media advisor and the co-chair of Covering Climate Now, a global alliance of news outlets working together to enhance climate coverage.
A former Managing Director of Al Jazeera English, Giles has extensive experience as a media leader, documentary filmmaker, and frontline reporter in the Middle East.
He began his journalism career in the late 1980s as a freelance reporter in Lebanon, covering the country’s civil war and hostage crisis. Over the years, he has undertaken assignments in Egypt, Iraq, Israel, the Palestinian territories, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Afghanistan
Richard is Head of Sustainability at Handelsbanken in the UK. A senior strategist in Climate Change and Sustainability, he has a background in UK and European financial services. Values-led and with wide-ranging career experience, his particular strengths lie in analysis, strategy and leadership, communications and policy engagement.
At Greener Henley, he is jointly responsible for developing strategy, reviewing performance, providing advice and challenge, and ensuring robust governance and financial soundness with specific oversight of Greener Henley’s work with the local business community.
Julie has spent her career in senior leadership roles across the UK and Nordics in the finance and asset leasing sectors, with experience spanning sales and marketing, operations, and business development. She chaired cross-industry sustainability initiatives for two industry bodies, helping to accelerate environmental improvements across the asset finance sector through education, innovation, and the sharing of best practice.
